Game Changers (CCMS) April 8, 2013

Filed under: Quick Easy Reads,Sports Novel — lyaughn @ 7:23 pm

The book Game Changers is by Mike Lupica and it is an exciting book .I give this book five thumbs up. This book was awesome! Ben McBain is the main character in the book. This book is very interesting and would be to most teenagers. Ben McBain is a kid who had dreamed about being the quarterback. Shawn O’Brien is the coach’s son. He is trying out for quarterback also. You’ve probably predicted that the book is about football, my favorite sport. The coach knows Ben is a better quarterback than his son, but the coach still starts his son instead. This happens in real life to kids. Kids are not always looked at fairly. Because this has happened to me, I can truly relate. This book is very realistic. This could happen to me again or any other kid. The author made it real. Once again this book was great!!! It’s a must read for all athletes. – Tray Mizell

The Big Blueberry Barf Off (CCMS) March 21, 2013

Filed under: Quick Easy Reads — lyaughn @ 7:28 pm

The book I read was called The Big Blueberry Barf Off written by R.L. Stine and it was a good book
to read. The book was funny but some parts of the story were not realistic and didn’t make any sense at
all. The book I read was only eighteen chapters so it wasn’t that long. It only took me two hours to read
the whole book. I would rate this story all four out of five stars only because some parts didn’t make sense
at all. I did enjoy reading this book though only because it was really funny and it had some cool
characters inside the story. If his book made only a little bit more sense this would be one of the best
books I’ve read so far but it was still a wonderful book. I would recommend this book to other people
who enjoy funny books. -Wesley Taylor
